Boston Market Is Entering The Fray But with a Signature Twist

As the "better burger" competition heats up, Boston Market is entering the fray but with a signature twist.

The fast-casual restaurant chain, known for its rotisserie chicken, today announced the launch of its BLT Rotisserie Chicken Burger, a limited time offering available in all of its 459 restaurants beginning today through August 24.

The BLT Rotisserie Chicken Burger features the chain's signature rotisserie chicken, thick cut Applewood bacon, lettuce, tomato and its special roasted garlic avocado aioli on a sesame brioche bun. The burger is offered individually for $6.99 and is available as a combo for an additional $2.49. A version without bacon is available for $6.49. Boston Market VIP club members will also receive a buy one get one free offer for the Chicken Burger, good July 14-18.

The Boston Market BLT Rotisserie Chicken Burger is a fresh take on a summer staple that comes at a fitting time. Last year marked the first time in a century that Americans consumed more chicken than beef, according to the USDA, and the popularity of poultry does not appear to be slowing down soon.

"With the popularity of chicken at an all-time high and the expansion of the 'better burger' category, the opportunity was perfect for a chicken burger," said George Michel, CEO of Boston Market (a.k.a. "The Big Chicken"). "We've created a burger as only Boston Market can - taking our signature rotisserie chicken and creating a delicious burger with bacon - it's the best of both worlds."

The launch of the BLT Rotisserie Chicken Burger is the latest in a series of innovations for the restaurant chain, including successful flavor extension Parmesan Tuscan Chicken and the introduction of Boston Market St. Louis Style Ribs. The ribs, which launched as a limited time offering last April, were added permanently to the menu last summer as the result of high demand. Most recently, Boston Market launched a new flavor for its ribs, Kentucky Bourbon BBQ. These offerings expand the already varied array of menu options for guests looking for an indulgent, home style meal.
