UK-based establishment Chapel Foods has recalled certain packs of its Steak Pies as they may have been packed with Chilli Bean Pies, which contain gluten that is not mentioned on the label.
The product associated with the recall include 320g Genius Gluten Free Denby Dale Steak Pies bearing Batch code: 41915 307 with Best before date: 31 October 2015 and 1 November 2015.
The company has withdrawn the recalled product from customers and will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations, which will notify their members about the recall.
Additionally, point-of-sale notices will be displayed in stores that carry the recalled product.
Consumption of the recalled product may cause a possible health risk in people allergic or intolerant to wheat or gluten.
Customers who have bought the recalled product are advised not to consume and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
