US-based Ninkasi Brewing in collaboration with Parallel 49 Brewing has introduced a new red rye lager called Red Eye.
The Red Eye is brewed by Graham With of Parallel 49 and Jamie Floyd of Ninkasi Brewing, using German Magnum, Centennial, Amarillo, Chinook and Simcoe hops, as well as Pilsner, Rye, Crystal and Midnight Wheat malts.
The red rye lager is available exclusively in 22-ounce bottles at Vancouver in British Columbia, and comes with 6.4% ABV and 41 IBUs.
Parallel 49 Brewing brewer Graham With said that the brewing of red rye lager began during Vancouver Craft Beer Week in June at Parallel 49.
Ninkasi Brewing brewer Jamie Floyd said, "The spirit of camaraderie in the craft beer industry really came through that day."
