High Liner Foods, a US-based seafood supplier, has launched a new range of sauced shrimp, Battercrisp Sauce & Serve Shrimp, under its FPI brand.
Battercrisp Sauce & Serve Shrimp uses a special product formulation that makes the shrimp to stay crispy-crunchy when sauced and can be paired with a signature house sauce or pre-made stock sauces, said the company.
This can also be used as an ingredient, topping for salads with dressings, or sauced with stir fries, tacos, and shrimp rolls.
Consumers can also customize the shrimp with a choice of mix and match dipping sauces such as sweet mojito and lime glaze, spicy aioli, sweet Thai chili, and spicy Asian cream coconut sauce.
FPI brand manager Carolyn Piscatelli said that the foodservice operators are seeking profitable ways to put shrimp on the menu that go beyond the standard fried shrimp menu placements.
"We've used our culinary innovation and knowledge of the hottest menu trends to make America's #1 seafood even better," added Piscatelli.
