JSW Steel, the largest steelmaker in India reported its financial result for the third quarter and first nine months of fiscal year 2012/13.
In the third quarter, JSW Steel posted profits after tax of INR1.37 billion, falling by 19% year on year, affected by lower capacity utilization rate of 78% in the given period of time. At the same time, the sales revenues amounted to INR82.75 billion, rising by 5% year on year.
In the first nine months of fiscal year 2013/13, the company’s profits after tax totaled INR12.28 billion, rising by 41% and its net sales revenues totaled INR261.4 billion, up by 16%, both compared to the figures in the same period of a year ago.
