Rettenmeier Holding Sold Its Gaildorf-Unterrot Site on 26 November 2012

On 26 November 2012, Rettenmeier Holding also sold its Gaildorf-Unterrot site; the buyer was KVH producer Junginger Naturholzwerk. No details were divulged regarding the purchase price. The sale includes not only the site itself, but also all warehouse and production halls and the power plant located there. The production lines for tie plates were not included in the sale, as they will continue to be used by Rettenmeier Holzindustrie Gaildorf until further notice. The production hall in which tie plates are manufactured will be rented from Junginger by Rettenmeier. According to executive-board member Dr. Stephan Lang, there are considerations of transferring the production lines in the medium term to another Rettenmeier site. Rettenmeier had already finally shut down the sawmill trading as Holzindustrie Rettenmeier Gaildorf at the Gaildorf-Unterrot site at the end of December 2010.
