Lear, a global supplier of automotive seating and electrical distribution systems, has inaugurated its Asia corporate headquarters and a new product and technology center in Shanghai, China.
The new center and headquarters will enable the company to expand its sales and development of new business in Asia and China.
The new facility features a new regional product and technology center, showcasing automotive seating and electrical distribution products for electrical and hybrid vehicles from the company.
Lear currently produces products at 60 locations in Asia. The new Asia headquarters will enable the company to support approximately 21,000 employees in eleven countries in Asia.
Lear president and chief executive officer Matt Simoncini said: "Our new regional headquarters in China will enable us to improve the level of support we provide to our customers with superior customer service in one convenient location that includes administrative, engineering, product development and validation expertise as well as a Cost Technology Optimization Center."
