Amcor Tobacco Packaging is set to install a new 19-Unit KBA Offset Press at its Innovation Centre in Rickenbach, Switzerland. The press, expected to be delivered later in 2012 has been specifically developed to produce packaging products and short print runs.
Recently, the company has installed a new Bobst Lemanic 820 flat bed press at the centre, which is capable of producing complex packaging products.
Besides equipment upgrades, Amcor Tobacco Packaging, which is set to acquire new production facilities has completed the acquisition of assets from IPC&L in Argentina, expanding its tobacco packaging production network into South America, recently.
Amcor Tobacco Packaging president Peter Konieczny said the company is constantly evaluating its offering to match its customers' evolving needs.
"We have a formal customer feedback process, which has helped us to focus our efforts to improve quality, service and innovation," Konieczny added.
