Starbucks subsidiary Evolution Fresh said it will debut four new organic superfoods juices and a watermelon juice in 2017.
The company said the new juices, which will hit grocery shelves in March next year, were developed in line with consumers’ healthy snacks and refreshment requirements.
The new juice blends were previewed at the Natural Products Expo East tradeshow in Baltimore earlier this month.
Included in the organic superfoods juices are Greens, Turmeric & Cocoa, Cocoa, Turmeric & Ginger, Pineapple, Mint & Ginger and Turmeric Golden Milk variants.
With a combination of dark leafy greens, algae and cucumbers, the Greens, Turmeric & Cocoa flavor is balanced with coconut milk that is sweetened with apples and mangoes. It also gets a finishing with traces of cinnamon, black pepper and salt.
The Cocoa, Turmeric & Ginger flavor as the name suggests includes the three ingredients while getting a finishing from a combination of vanilla, cinnamon and a bit of cayenne.
Evolution Fresh said the Pineapple, Mint & Ginger flavor is made of a blend of pineapples, mangoes and oranges. The drink is balanced with cucumbers and spinach with a touch of mint and ginger.
Turmeric Golden Milk, the fourth flavor has turmeric mixed with coconut milk along with coconut milk, mango, orange and pineapple. Its finishing comes from vanilla, cinnamon and ginger.
For its new hydrating juice product, Evolution Fresh is cold-pressing watermelons and lemons to give a new thirst-quenching option for customers.
Evolutions Fresh marketing vice president Anne Williams said: “Developing a signature, cold-pressed source of hydration and refreshment has been at the top of our list.
“Watermelon juice replenishes without added sugars, artificial colors or flavors. Replacing one of your daily water servings with the freshness of watermelon makes hydrating more of a treat, a treat that delivers 330mg of potassium per eight-ounce serving.”
Evolution Fresh products are available in grocery, natural channel, mass and club locations throughout the country and also at Starbucks stores throughout the US and Canada.
The juice maker was acquired by Starbucks in 2011.
