Heffernan Insurance Brokers, a US based independent insurance brokerage, has promoted Jennifer Mahoney to the position of chief operating officer (COO).
In her new role, Mahoney is expected to manage corporate governance, contracts, property and facilities management, mergers and acquisitions, corporate communications, philanthropy and wellness, as well as internet strategy.
When serving as vice president for Office of the CEO, Mahoney was integral to the planning and execution of the company's continuing expansion.
Commenting on promotion, Heffernan Insurance Brokers President and CEO Mike Heffernan said, "Jen has shown an ability to thoroughly comprehend and direct initiatives in an effective and timely manner.''
Apart from the new responsibility, Mahoney will also continue to implement special projects according to requirements.
Mahoney has worked with Heffernan for seven years in various operations of the group.
