Ford has unveiled the next generation Shelby GT350 Mustang ahead of the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The car is powered by 5.2-liter V8 engine which is capable of producing more than 500 horsepower and attain torque peak above 400 lb.-ft, which according to Ford is the most powerful naturally aspirated Ford production engine ever.
The car features aluminum hood and has the torsional stiffness increased by 28% over the previous model.
It also includes track-credible brake system which is designed to produce absolute stopping power.
Ford America design director said: "Everything we changed on GT350 is purely functional-driven design, with the goal of improving the overall performance of the car.
"We optimized the aero shape of the car, and then fine-tuned what was left to increase downforce and cooling airflow."
Shelby also features 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, flat-bottom steering wheel, integrated driver control system and 8-inch MyFord Touch LCD touch screen infotainment system.
