Genovation Cars Participated in a Major Research at University of Maryland

Genovation Cars is pleased to announce its participation in a major research grant awarded by the National Science Foundation to the University of Maryland for $438,418 to support the development of an Advanced-Silicon-Carbide-based, Novel-Hybrid-Energy Storage System for Plug-In Electric Vehicles.

The technology has been under development for over a year through sponsored research funded by Genovation Cars, electric car designers.

The goal is to install the technology on a high performance demonstration vehicle to validate the technology both on the road and on race tracks and to eventually license the technology to other companies.

The grant will be under the direction of Alireza Khaligh (grant principle investigator) of the University of Maryland; and Steven Rogers, president and CTO of Genovation Cars.

"We are so pleased to be a part of this major grant and to continue with this important research initiative for the electric car industry," Andrew Saul, Genovation Cars CEO said. "Clearly, we are very excited about the future of green technologies."
