Fujifilm Medical Systems USA has received an ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification for Synapse MU 3.0.
The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Fujifilm medical informatics vice president Jim Morgan said, "Synapse MU 3.0 enhances our Synapse RIS product by enabling our end users such as radiology groups to qualify for the incentives set forth by the ONC while reducing the impact on operations."
The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that complete EHRs meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.
According to the company, the clinical quality measures to which Synapse RIS has been certified include NQF0013 Hypertension: Blood Pressure Management, NQF0024 Youth Weight Assessment, NQF0027 Tobacco Use Cessation NQF0028 Preventive Care: Tobacco Use Assessment and Cessation NQF0038 Childhood Immunization Status, NQF0041 Influenza Immunization, NQF0052 Use of Imaging Study: Low Back Pain, NQF0061 Diabetic Patients who elevated mmhg V140/90, NQF0421 Adult Weight Screening.
The additional software Synapse MU 3.0 relied upon to demonstrate compliance includes Wolters Kluwer Health/ Lippincott, Williams & Williams, 5 Minute Consult Newcrop LLC, New Crop, 10.1.
