General Motors is planning to expand its Lansing Delta Township facility with an investment of $63 m.
The upcoming investment will be a part of the company's $300m investment the company has planned to invest in Michigan facilities.
General Motors will be adding 263,000 square feet to the existing facility where Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave large crossovers and GMC Acadia are manufactured.
Around 28,000 square feet will be added to the general assembly and more than 181,000 square feet is expected to be added to the body shop where next generation of robotics and lean flexible tooling will be used.
GM North America Manufacturing vice president Cathy Clegg said: "Today's announcement is the latest example of our ongoing efforts to strengthen key plant capabilities.
"We're committed to producing the highest quality and safest vehicles in the market, which will help us earn customers for life. This is why facility investment is so important."
