ThyssenKrupp AG Has Pointed Ulrich Leher as New Chairman of Its Supervisory Board

ThyssenKrupp AG has pointed Ulrich Leher as new chairman of its supervisory board, replacing Gerhard Cromme who announced his resign last week. The Lehner would restructure the supervisory board and make corporate governance and compliance core area of its future works.

Meanwhile, he would then give up position on other boards to focus on ThyssenKrupp.

In the background, at current ThyssenKrupp’s biggest headache was its Steel Americas business comprising of two steel mills in Brazil and Alabama, the value of Steel Americas sum up to a €4.7 billion annual loss last year and force ThyssenKrupp to pay no dividend for the first time.
