Cloud's Meats Is Recalling Beef and Pork Products,as They May Be Contaminated with E.Coli

Cloud's Meats is recalling 1,450 pounds of beef and pork products, as they may be contaminated with E. coli, the Missouri Department of Agriculture (MDA) announced.

The move comes after the product samples tested positive for non-0157 Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STECs).

The samples were considered as part of routine testing conducted by the agency's Meat and Poultry Inspection Program in mid-November and were analyzed by the department's Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory in Springfield.

Featuring the code '318' and labeled with Clouds Meats Inc. or Cloud's Smoked Meats, the recalled items include 1,052 pounds of ground beef, 158 pounds of pork sausage, 152 pounds of ground pork, and 96 pounds of Tenderized Minute Steak and Tenderized Round Steak.

The implicated products were not distributed for retail sale; however, anyone who may have the products listed have been advised to return them to the company.

Those concerned about an illness should contact their health care professional.
