Japanese car manufacturer Daihatsu Motor is set to introduce its Tanto mini passenger vehicle range with new turbo engines, across the country.
Earlier in October 2013, the company also launched the Tanto range as a fully upgraded model, which registered over 60,000 orders as of 30 November 2013.
Tanto vehicles that are equipped with turbo engine include Tanto X Turbo and Tanto X Turbo 'SA. These vehicles also feature plated grills and fog lamps.
Besides this, the Japanese car manufacturer introduced its new hybrid passenger vehicle, MEBIUS, in the home-market earlier this year.
The vehicle is powered by a 1.8L hybrid engine that generates an output of 73kW and torque of 142Nm at 4,000rpm, while offering fuel consumption of 26.2km/L in JC08 mode.
Engine of the vehicle is combined with an electric motor powered by a nickel metal hydride (NiMH) battery that delivers 60kW output and 207Nm of torque.
