GM May Invest 38 Million Dollars

GM considered to investing 38 million dollars to Lansing for the expansion, the company has contacted with the local government about tax cuts matters.

GM spokeswoman Erin Davis said recently that the company is currently working on investment to the assembly plant in Lansing, to improve the plant’s facilities to improve the manufacturing capacity of the plant, but she did not provide any detailed information, and also did not disclose the investment whether related with the production of Chevrolet division myro models.

GM announced late last year that it would put the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro capacity from Canada Oshava factory moved to Lansing plant, but it has not given the timetable.

It was known that the expansion project may start as early as July this year, and was expected to be completed in 2015 and would bring about 150 new jobs for Lansing.
