Indian automaker Tata Motors has expanded its CNG portfolio with the launch of two new vehicles - Tata Indigo emax and Tata Indica emax – in India.
The company has introduced the two variants in six markets across India including Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Tripura.
The new emax range is equipped with a fuel efficient engine, with CNG and Petrol bi-fuel system options. The Tata Indigo and Tata Indica emax have a low carbon footprint of 0.251 g/km and 0.338 g/ km, respectively.
Tata Indigo emax is a fuel-efficient sedan. Its petrol-CNG engine offers upto 65HP at 5000 RPM. Other features include advanced F-Shift gear box and the new Duo Float Suspension.
The Tata Indica emax is a green and fuel efficient vehicle. It also features a new NVH package and the advanced F-Shift gear box.
Tata Motors passenger vehicle business unit vice president Ankush Arora said that the introduction of the new variants comes as an essential step that underlines their commitment to be a sustainable automotive player.
"Besides offering exciting new features, these cars will be backed by an engaging purchase experience and advanced technology to be an economic, friendly choice for consumers," Arora added.
