Liberty Technologies,a Millwood company and a worldwide industry leader and innovator of unit load and packaging systems, materials and services, has signed an exclusive sales and marketing agreement with SafeFlo Technologies,LLC.
Based in Union,Ky.,SafeFlo applies pneumatic controls and deep lane storage principles to design, build and retrofit material handling and storage systems for manufacturers and distributors.
The alliance will operate as a part of Liberty Technologies.Storage systems and solutions will be sold under the SafeFlo Technology brand. This unique combination takes full advantage of SafeFlo's extensive experience in unit load, high density dynamic storage systems and Millwood's expertise in the design of optimized unit loads. For the first time, manufacturers and distributors have one place to go for help in designing, handling and storing their products on palletized and non-palletized unit loads.
"With the addition of SafeFlo's expertise and technologies,we have the capability to design a full material handling system that considers the storage, flow and unit load design as a total concept,"says Ron Ringness,Millwood's executive vice president of sales, marketing and technology."Historically, the design of the unit load has been separate from the design of the handling and storage system. That has led to predictable problems."
Adds John Wylie,a SafeFlo managing partner,"In more than 30 years of designing storage and flow systems, this is the first time I have seen where all of the load, stability, protection and movement issues are being evaluated and tested as a total system."
SafeFlo high density dynamic storage solutions have already been adopted by customers in the food, beverage, freezer, automotive and electronics industries.Utilizing flow through deep lane storage,SafeFlo solutions increase cube utilization, provide exceptional safety and reliability, and improve inventory control.
At ProMat 2013,SafeFlo is introducing a patent pending controlled gravity flow technology for slip-sheet and other pallet-less load applications.Visit booth 4256 to see unitized loads operate under different types of unit flow conditions. At booth 3657,Millwood will highlight its new unit load design and test lab.
