Ardagh Group announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Verallia North America (“VNA”), following approval of a consent order by the Commissioners of the Federal Trade Commission.
Following the acquisition of VNA and the divestment of six former Anchor Glass plants, Ardagh's North America Glass Division will generate annual revenues of approximately US$2 billion from 16 glass manufacturing facilities, employing 5,000 people.
Agreement has also been reached with the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation to settle the litigation regarding the VNA pension plan.
