Creating the Ultimate Home Viewing Experience
On Jan. 30, football fans everywhere will get the inside scoop on easy recipes and entertaining tips from consumer lifestyle expert Sandra Lee. The popular star of Food Network's "Restaurant Remakes" and Cooking Channel's "Taverns, Lounges & Clubs" will be at Borgne Restaurant, preparing sporty snacks with one of LG's top refrigerators, with the award-winning "Blast Chiller" technology that chills a 12-ounce canned beverage in five minutes or a bottle of wine in eight minutes.
Hosting a High-Tech Haven
To serve the droves of media in New Orleans from Jan. 31-Feb. 2, LG will host a complimentary lounge at the acclaimed Borgne Restaurant. Media will have a place for access to free Wi-Fi and some of New Orleans' finest dishes. On display at the lounge will be LG's 84-inch class (83.9 inches measured diagonally) Ultra High-Definition TV (boasting 4K resolution of an incredible 8 million pixels) and LG's hottest new smartphone, the award-winning Optimus G. This superphone handles photos, messages and video without needing a charge, allowing fans to stay tuned into the biggest sporting event of the year, whether they are snapping images of key plays, sharing commentary with its QuickMemo feature, or watching replays on the impressive 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus display.
Fans can also beam replay highlights from the Optimus G directly on the big screen of their LG Smart TV using LG's SmartShare feature. Partying in Style LG is capping off its presence in New Orleans as the official sponsor for the CAA Sports Super Bowl Party on Feb. 2, where entertainment and sports celebrities will enjoy a night of fun, charity and face-time with LG's game-enhancing products.
As part of the festivities, LG will make donations to Make It Right and the St. Bernard Project, which are dedicated to home rebuilding in New Orleans and other disaster-impacted communities in need. A donation will be made on behalf of any CAA party attendee who takes a picture in LG's photo booth and will be doubled when shared via Twitter.
Celebrities at the CAA Sports Super Bowl Party also will have the chance to experience LG's industry-leading flat-panel HDTVs, including the new OLED and Ultra HD TVs and the Optimus G smartphone's high-resolution camera to capture the festivities. They'll also be able to experience party-friendly features of LG's kitchen appliances, including the LG Super-Capacity French-Door ENERGY STAR-qualified refrigerator – complete with its convenient Door-in-Door feature that allows easy access to party beverages.
