John Lewis has teamed up with British fashion brand Ghost, to offer customers a brand new 'dye to order' dress service. The 'dye to order' dresses are this wedding season's answer to the bridesmaid dilemma as there is no longer a need to compromise on colour over style.
Made in satins, silks, crepes and chiffons, all nine designs drape fluidly to contour and flatter. After selecting a style, customers can opt to have their dress dyed in a choice of 16 shades, from electric blue to a traditional peony pink.
Jo Hooper, Head of Buying Womenswear at John Lewis says: 'We're really proud to be working with Ghost to launch this innovative service. For the first time customers will be able to choose a design and colour combination that is completely individual and tailored to their specifications.
With 144 possible options to chose from, customers will get real value out of their bespoke dress, ensuring that their bridesmaid dresses are not just confined to the back of the wardrobe but will be loved beyond the wedding day and worn time and time again'.
John Lewis, 'Britain's favourite retailer 2010' and 'Multiple Department Store of the Year 2010' typically stocks more than 350,000 separate lines in its department stores.
