According to media report that Chinese state-run Anshan Iron & Steel Group (Ansteel), the second largest steel maker in Mainland China has notified price increase of hot-rolled steel coils (HRC) by US$21/ton and US$11/ton for its cold-rolled steel sheets for December shipment.
Ansteel's price rise follows the price raise announcement made by Wuhan Iron & Steel and Baosteel, the leading steel mills in China.
It is expected that other Chinese mills will also follow suit to hike the steel prices accordingly.
