Toyota Corolla Sedan Have Appeared Online

Toyota Corolla Sedan Revealed in Leaked Images

Images claiming to reveal the design of the all-new Toyota Corolla sedan have appeared online, giving us our first look at the production version of the four-door variant of the Japanese car maker’s top-selling small car.

The images – supposedly from Poland, published by a Subdriven forum member – expose the complete exterior styling of the new Corolla sedan, which draws inspiration from both the already-released hatchback and the sporty Toyota Corolla Furia concept that debuted at last month’s Detroit auto show as a preview to the new sedan.

The Toyota Corolla sedan embraces the brand’s new design language. Hard-edged headlights meld into a multi-slat horizontal grille with a prominent badge, while a broad lower air intake and foglights pushed to the corners of the front fascia add width to car’s front end.

Sharp panel creases in the front and rear bumpers, bonnet, wheel arches and along the doors give the new Corolla sedan an edgier character compared with the rounder outgoing four-door.

Inspiration from existing Toyota sedans is also evident at the rear, with its horizontal tail-lights and adjoining chrome bar reminiscent of the Aurion large car.

Toyota has given no indication of when the new Corolla sedan will be officially revealed or when the car will go on sale, although the four-door variant is expected to launch in at least some markets before the end of 2013.

Currently, Toyota Australia continues to sell the previous-generation Corolla sedan alongside the new-gen hatchback that launched locally in October.
