UK-based Essentra Packaging has introduced the new Re:Close Tape in response to growing consumer demand.
The tape will allow consumers to keep the product in the original pack between uses and minimizes food waste caused by spillage or leaving a pack open.
Available in two different reel formats including pan-wound and traverse-wound, the new Re:Close Tape can be applied by using banderol style tape application equipment or easily retrofitted applicators.
Essentra Packaging specialist technologies managing director Martin Dallas said the tape will allow brands to bring together the convenience of reclosing with the opportunity to integrate promotions within pack designs.
"Packs which can be reclosed continue to grow in popularity, and it's clear that consumers view effective portion control from multi-serve packs as a way of achieving better value for money," Dallas added.
