Japanese automaker Nissan Motor has introduced the new NP300 Navara pickup truck to meet the demands of individuals and businesses.

NP300 Navara will be available in two powertrain options depending on the region. The model is claimed to offer improved performance along with reduced fuel consumption and emissions as well as a dynamic control braking system.

The vehicle will be powered by Nissan's improved 2.5L DOHC in-line four-cylinder Diesel engine with output capacities of 140kW and 120kW at 3600rpm as well as torque range of 450Nm and 403Nm at 2000rpm.

Nissan chief planning officer Andy Palmer said, "The Nissan New NP300 Navara sets new benchmarks for performance, toughness, versatility and running costs; all the qualities that are critical for pickup users."

Nissan will also make the vehicle available with a 2.5L in-line four-cylinder Gasoline engine.

Transmission options for the new Navara will include a seven-speed automatic and six-speed manual transmission, both of which are said to offer low fuel consumption at slow speeds along with better acceleration and expanded gear ratio.

The new Navara will feature Nissan's signature V-motion motif flows from the grille and into the hood through to the front fender.

Technologies fitted into the vehicle include vehicle dynamic control (VDC) that helps improve 4x4 driving performance and safety, active brake limited slip (ABLS), hill start assist (HSA) and hill descent control (HDC).
