Sales of Renault Decline 6.3%

Last Friday, French automobile manufacturer Renault said in Paris, due to European financial crisis, its global sales declined 6.3% and European sales even decreased 18%, while its sub-brand added the total sales. To summary, Renault totally sold 2.55 million vehicles in 2012.

Last Friday, Jérôme Stoll, Sales Director of Renault, said he was confident enough. Renault will introduce several new models, including electric vehicle Zoé.It is said that last Tuesday Renault announced it will cut about 7,500 jobs of the 44,600 jobs by the end of 2016.

All the French automobile manufacturers were affected negatively by the European sales crisis. Renault’s rival-PSA Peugeot Citroën’s sales decreased 16.5% in 2012, dropped to 2.97 million vehicles.
