UTC Aerospace Systems of Charlotte, NC, USA (a unit of United Technologies Corp formed after its acquisition of Sensors Unlimited Inc’s parent company Goodrich Corp in early August) will release its next-generation Sensors Unlimited short-wave infrared (SWIR) digital linescan camera for spectral domain optical coherence in booths #8811 and #811, respectively, at the SPIE BiOS and Photonics West exhibitions at The Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA (2-7 February 2013). Technical teams will be on hand throughout the show for demonstrations.
Based on indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs), the camera is suited to high-line-rate inspection applications where objects are moving, such as for the cleaning of agricultural products like rice, fruit or tea; industrial applications like detecting defects in silicon ingots, and hollow glassware just after coming from the mold; and also moisture uniformity in paper or textile production.
UTC Aerospace Systems designs, manufactures and services integrated systems and components mainly for the aerospace and defense industries. It supports a global customer base with worldwide manufacturing and customer service facilities.
