Although the current market demand for carbon steel flat products have reminded slow, Taiwanese Chung Hung Steel (CHS) said the coming demand from Philippines has still helped the company to receive enough export orders for next January.
Typhoon Haiyan in early November had caused the serious damage in Philippines and in order to supply for reconstruction need, Philippines need to import lots of steel source to supply their demand.
Chung Hung Steel said the orders from Philippines has increased about double and about 50% of CHS's January export orders are coming from Philippines
