Compass Cider House Completes The Merger with Cedaredge

Compass Cider House has completed the merger with Cedaredge, Colorado-based Blossomwood Cidery.

Following this merger, both the cider makers will produce cider and perry at their facilities.Blossomwood Cidery founder Shawn Carney and Compass Cider House founder Bob Blythe expects rollout a range of premium and super premium ciders and perry after this merger.

Carney said that the merger with Compass Cider House enables the company's super premium products, such as cider and perry made from cider apples and perry pears grown on the 15 acre Blossomwood Orchard in Cedaredge, Colorado.

"With well over 100 varieties of exclusive fruit available to us, we believe we can bring true English and French style products to a market that appreciates the highest quality products available," Carney added.

Additionally, the two cideries will open a modern tasting room, restaurant and cider production facility - Cider Lounge at 216 N. College Avenue in Old Town Ft Collins.

During the opening ceremony, which will take place from 21-23 March 2014, the merged entity will introduce eight new premium and super premium hard ciders and perry. The event will offer special cider and perry tasting trays paired with small plate menu items.

Blythe said: "Working with Blossomwood will ensure that our customers who are looking for the highest quality locally made Ciders and Perry will have the widest selection of premium beverages readily available."
