US-based whey protein brand Designer Whey has secured gluten-free certification for its entire product ranges from the Gluten-free Certification Organization.
Designer Whey noted that it is one of the first protein brands in the nutrition category to have its entire range of protein products, including 100-calorie protein powders, shakes, bars, drink mixes, gluten-free certified.
According to the company, all its products will now carry the official GF logo, which represents that the Gluten-Free Certification Organization has found less than 10 ppm of gluten in all raw and finished Designer Whey products and has audited all of its manufacturing facilities.
The new packaging with the GF logo is expected to be available in Fall of this year.
Commenting on the certification, Designer Protein CEO Grace Jeon said that the company has made its products gluten-free certified in response to the growing consumer demand for gluten-free choices.
"Just as we strived to deliver naturally flavored and sweetened products in 2012, Gluten-Free certification was our goal for 2013 and we're thrilled to have accomplished this through the hard work of the team and our suppliers," added Jeon.
Designer Whey's products are made with 100% whey and are naturally flavored and sweetened.
