The Company Issues a Recall of Oak Smoked Salmon Over Listeria Monocytogenes Contamination

UK-based establishment Loch Duart Artisan Smokehouse has expanded the recall of its Oak Smoked Salmon as Listeria monocytogenes has been detected in the product, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

In August, the company issued a recall of Oak Smoked Salmon over Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The latest recall affects Loch Duart Artisan Smokehouse Oak Smoked Salmon with batch codes 07082, 15082, 13082 and 21082; pack sizes of 125g, 200g, 500g, whole sides (sliced and unsliced). These products feature date codes 'Use by' dates between 3 September 2013 and 21 September 2013.

Consumers who have purchased the affected products are advised not to eat them and instead return them to the place of purchase.

No other Loch Duart Artisan Smokehouse products are known to be affected.
