The company will start producing its new EB Turbo PureTech engines in March 2014, with an expected annual production capacity of 320,000 engines.

Features of the new engine include 110-130HP; 18% lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions; and compliance with Euro 6.1 emissions standards.

The company will introduce this new engine initially with the Citron C4 and the Peugeot 308 models in March 2014, followed by the Peugeot 208 and Citron C3 and DS3 in July 2014.

All the vehicles that are assembled at PSA Peugeot Citron's European car plants will be equipped with the EB Turbo PureTech engines manufactured in France.

PSA also plans to start the production of the new engine in Latin America and China in 2015, to supply to local markets there.
