US-based specialty insurance brokerage firm, Alliant Insurance Services has appointed Surety executive Lawrence McMahon as the first vice president of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP).
McMahon, who joined the company in 2000, served as the executive vice president in Alliant's Construction Services Group, and played a significant role in the growth of its surety business.
Apart from providing surety advice to the company's construction and public entity practices, McMahon also manages numerous large surety placements nationally, and is also in line to become president of the NASBP in 2013.
McMahon worked as a member of a NASBP subcommittee that developed the curriculum for the association's new sales workshop for bond producers and currently serves on the NASBP board of directors.
He is also active in the Engineering & General Contractors Association and the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) at Alliant's San Diego office.
