Automaker Ford Has Recalled Over 4000 New Ranger Model Vehicles in Australia

Automaker Ford has recalled over 4000 new Ranger model vehicles in Australia due to a problem with the rear seatback.

The recall affects 4,258 Double Cab PX Ford Ranger units sold between 23 May 2011 and 13 February 2012.

According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the defect may result in the rear seatback latch which may not be secured to the body striker.

In August this year, Ford recalled 16,287 PJ and PK model Rangers to fix a defect with the utes' factory-fitted tow bars.

In September this year, Ford recalled 5,500 units of midsized sports utility vehicles, Edge Crossovers, equipped with 2-liter engines to fix the defective fuel lines that could potentially cause fire.
