Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus (MFTBC) has reported a 17.8% increase in the sales in 2012 to 173,791 units compared to the 147,653 units sold in 2011.
The company has sold 34,970 units in Japan an increase of 29.7% against the 26,959 units sold in 2011, and sold 139,001 units in the international markets, a 15.2% rise from 120,694 units sold in the previous year.
MFTBC expects to increase 30% in 2013 compared to 2012 with the launch of its new products.
Sales in Southeast Asia rose 12.6% to 74,646 units versus 66,321 units in 2011, in Indonesia 67,932 units were sold up by 10.1% compared to 61,682 units in the previous year, while in Taiwan a 4.1% increase was recorded from 11,643 units sold in 2011 to 12,115 units in 2012.
Malaysia sales reached 2,520 units in 2012 from 1.713 units in 2011, up 47.1%, sales in Thailand went up 234.3% to 2,420 units against 724 units sold in 2011, whereas in the Middle East and UAE an increase of 63.1% and 84.6% was recorded respectively.
The sales in the African market grew 88.7% to 8,046 units from the 4,264 units sold in 2011.
