Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced that its subsidiary Tangshan Iron and Steel Co. has signed a supply agreement with Zanussi Electric Machinery Tianjin Compressor Co., Ltd.
Accordingly, Tangshan Steel will supply an initial batch of 400 mt of SPHD hot rolled pickled steel sheet to the company. Zanussi Electric Machinery Tianjin Compressor Co. is a supplier to many large refrigerator producers in China. This cooperation agreement is expected to improve Tangshan Steel’s presence in the household appliance sector.
Meanwhile, in February another Hebei Steel Group subsidiary, Handan Steel, has signed contracts with several customers for the sale of an aggregate 6,420 mt of HRB 400E earthquake-resistant rebar.
