Recently National Development and Reform Commission releases resource comprehensive utilization "Double Hundred Projects" selection results. Baosteel Development Corporation is awarded among the first national resource comprehensive utilization backbone enterprises.
In March last year, National Development and Reform Commission issued "resource comprehensive utilization double hundred projects" notification and proposed that during the "Twelfth Five-Year" period it would cultivate and support 100 resource utilization demonstration bases and 100 resource comprehensive utilization backbone enterprises in the country, raise recycling economy overall level and accelerate economic development transformation.

Through reporting, expert review and field research, National Development and Reform Commission selects 50 regions and units as the first resource comprehensive utilization "Double Hundred Projects" demonstration bases and backbone enterprises from a combination of two key areas: mineral resource and industrial waste comprehensive utilization. Among them there are 24 demonstration bases, 26 backbone enterprises. Baosteel Development Corporation is at the upper rank of industrial waste comprehensive utilization backbone enterprises with leading edge.
It is reported that National Development and Reform Commission will study and support "Double Hundred Projects" construction policy with relevant departments, timely summarize key R & D, achievement transformation, industry promotion technologies emerged from "Double Hundred Projects", amend and include advanced and applicable technology timely into "China resource comprehensive utilization technology policy outline".
