Safeway Has Initiated a Voluntarily Recall of Several Products Supplied

Safeway, an American supermarket chain, has initiated a voluntarily recall of several products supplied by or containing ingredients supplied by Reser's Fine Foods or Taylor Farms.

The move is in cooperation with the Reser's Fine Foods and Taylor Farms recalls of products that could potentially be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Products from behind the glass of the Full-Service Deli that are subject to recall include Classic Macaroni Salad, Deviled Egg Potato Salad, Old Fashioned Potato Salad, Classic Potato Salad, Four Bean Salad, Ambrosia Salad, Pasta Spinach Salad, Signature Cafe Salad Tuna Premium, Classic Egg Salad and American Harvest BBQ Beans.

Those from self-serve coolers of Deli area include Safeway Kitchens Cajun Krab Dip, Safeway Kitchens Krab & Cheese Dip, Safeway Kitchens Smoked Salmon Dip, Safeway Kitchens Classic Macaroni salad, Safeway Kitchens Classic Potato Salad, Deli Counter Deviled Egg Potato Salad, Safeway Kitchens Seafood Salad and Deli Counter Classic Cole Slaw.

No illnesses have been reported to date, in conjunction with these products.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause illness in certain groups of people, including pregnant women, unborn and newborn babies, and those with reduced immunity, particularly the over-60s.
