Indian plastic packaging product manufacturer Mold-Tek has opened its new INR125m ($2m) packaging plant in Satara district of Maharashtra state.
The new plant, which will have an initial capacity of 2,500t annually, began commercial production and will cater to the packaging needs of paint company Asian Paints.
According to the company, within the next two years, the plant's production capacity is expected to reach 4,500t and for 2012-13, it will add additional revenues up to INR30m ($0.55m).
In 2013-14, the plant is expected to add revenues up to INR300m ($6m), and INR600m ($11m) by 2015-16.
