At the recently concluded MAISON&OBJET Paris design show, German furniture manufacturer Pulpo showcased a special collection of tables designed by Sebastian Herkner – Font Low and Font High.
Font is a collection of simple and graphical sidetables made of a new material called Glaskeramik by German manufacturer Magna. Using recycled glass and a new patented fusing technology, each glass is unique. Small bubbles and streaks as well as minor variations in colour and size are characteristics of handmade glass and are not flaws of design or manufacture.
The Font table collection comes in two sizes – low and high – and is available in five different colours with self-pattern design on the surface. Designed by the Sebastian Herkner Studio, Font tables are a collaboration between Pulpo and Magna Glaskeramic.
Together with the studio and Pulpo, the company Magna developed Font for more than one year, which is the first collection of furniture made of this material.
