Italian printing and converting machines manufacturer Nuova Gidue has launched the new M9 multi-process press for the carton and packaging industry.
The press features the completely redesigned M9 Offset print group with heavy-duty frames, independent servo-driven inking units and format cassettes.
According to the company, each offset print unit is driven by a total of seven servo motors. The M9 offers a new flexo print unit which can use water-based and UV inks with drying speed on heavy solids too.
The unit is placed on the Gidue universal platform and can be easily interchanged with screen, cold foil and hot stamping process heads.
The innovation of M9 new press line has been developed for the carton-boxes market for products such as cosmetics, liquors and chocolate, and for the packaging industry in general.
Gidue managing director Federico d'Annunzio said the M9 has been designed to create a bridge between the labels and packaging markets.
"The M9 fulfils most of the commitments of high-end added value Packaging, which can be produced "all-in-one-pass" using several printing and converting technologies," d'Annunzio said.
