US-based food packaging firm Pactiv is set to expand its production plants at Lenoir and Iredell counties in North Carolina, a move that will create 77 new jobs.
North Carolina state government noted that the company is expected to invest around $9m in its Lenoir and Iredell facilities, as part of the expansion plan.
Currently, Pactiv employs approximately 850 people at its production facilities in the state North Carolina.
According to the company, the average annual payroll for the new jobs will be around $2.5m.
Pactiv manufactures and supplies packaging products for consumer and foodservice/food packaging markets in North America. It provides foodservice/food packaging products, building products, egg packaging products, shrink and stretch films, waste bags, slider storage bags, disposable tableware and cookware, foil cookware, and molded fiber products.
