Auto component supplier Sypris Technologies has announced the expansion of is long-term supply relationship with US based auto component maker Meritor.
The companies have signed an agreement under which Sypris Technologies will provide drivetrain components for Meritor's drive axle and trailer axle assembly operations in North America.
The agreement between the two companies will also include extension of two existing supply contracts and include the introduction of new products and services that are likely to be produced at Sypris' Louisville, Kentucky and Morganton facilities.
Sypris Technologies president Paul Larochelle said: "We are pleased to expand and extend our strategic relationship with Meritor, which has grown substantially over the past 19 years.
"We will continue to support Meritor with advanced manufacturing systems to ensure that this important customer continues to benefit from world-class quality, on-time delivery and cost-competitive products."
The terms of the agreement were not disclosed by the companies.
