With this investment, the company will add a new flexible engine assembly system and will renovate 700,000ft2 of the facility for machining and assembly functions.

The investment will support the production of the company's all-new 2.7L EcoBoost engine for the next-generation 2015 Ford F-150. The twin-turbo engine will feature standard auto start-stop technology and a new design.

The auto start-stop technology will turn off the engine automatically when the vehicle is stopped and restarts once the driver releases the brake.

Ford Motor the Americas president Joe Hinrichs said that the company's truck customers have spoken, and it will continue to meet their evolving needs by providing another V6 option in the all-new 2015 F-150.

"The hardworking team at Lima Engine is thrilled to begin building one of the most technologically advanced engines ever designed for America's No. 1 truck," Hinrichs added.
