Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. VSH today announced itstechnology line-up for ELECRAMA-2014, taking place Jan. 8-12 at theBangalore International Exhibition Center in India. In hall 3B, boothH3J12, the company will be highlighting its latest industry-leadingpower MOSFET, passive component, diode, and optoelectronicstechnologies for solar, smart grid, wind turbine, and railroadapplications.
Vishay Siliconix power MOSFET technologies on display atELECRAMA-2014 will include TrenchFET(R) Gen IV devices with ultra-lowmaximum on-resistance for DC/DC converters; high-performance,medium-voltage ThunderFET(R) power MOSFETs; 600 V and 650 V E Seriesdevices for increased efficiency; and the AEC-Q101-qualified SQRugged Series.
Highlighted Vishay Semiconductors diodes will include Gen2 650 V FREDPt(R) Ultrafast devices with a wide range of rated currents from 2 Ato 150 A and typical reverse recovery times down to 28 ns; PAR(R) andTRANSZORB(R) transient voltage suppressors with high-surgecapability; and packaging solutions for power modules featuringsolderless pressfit technology. In addition, Vishay Semiconductorswill be showcasing optocouplers with 3750 VRMS and 5000 VRMSisolation voltage ratings.
Passive components from Vishay will consist of a wide variety of thecompany's latest capacitors and resistors. Featured capacitors willinclude Vishay BCcomponents screw-terminal and snap-in power aluminumcapacitors with ultra-long life to 15,000 hours and high-ratedvoltages to 500 V; Vishay ESTA cylindrical and rectangular capacitorsfor power electronics, low-voltage power factor correction devices,and LVAC power capacitorsThis is a general term referring to capacitors that handle large currents or high voltages, can be used in charging systems, and applications in electrical distribution systems.; and Vishay Roederstein DC-Link and snubberfilm capacitors with broad capacitanceThat property of a system of conductors and dielectrics which permits the storage of electricity when potential difference exists between the conductors. Its value is expressed as the ratio of a quantity of electricity to a potential difference. A capacitance value is always positive. ranges from 1 to 500microfarads and long operational life.
Highlights from Vishay's line of resistors will include VishayDraloric vitreous-enameled power wirewound devices and stainlesssteel braking/crowbar resistors with pulse energy capability up to3.46 MJ and pulse current capability up to 12 kA; and Vishay Sfernicethick film resistors with high power to 1100 W and aluminum-housedwirewound resistors with a molded construction for harshenvironments.
