Ford Recalled 230,000 MPV in North America Due to Corrosion Problems

As the seat has the danger of rusted loose hidden, Ford announced to recall 230,000 MPV in North America.

On March 7, Ford said that it is recalling 230,000 MPV cars of Freestar and Mercury Monterey for the 2004 to 2007 models, Which involved 196,500 vehicles in the US market; Other market for 33,500 vehicles, mainly in Canada.

The models are mainly used in cold regions of the United States and Canada, whose road use deicing salts. Ford spokeswoman Kelli Felker said that the third-row seat of the faulty vehicle was rusted, which may cause the seat loose. Dealers will replace the bracket for the fault of the vehicle, and install the waterproof over the back wheel.

Ford said that there is no report about accidents or injuries caused by the failure at present.
