Nestle India is planning to re-introduce chicken variant in its Maggi Noodles that were relaunched in the country last November.
The food company is planning to make the new variant available through online retailer Snapdeal.
It had tied up with Snapdeal to relaunch Maggi Noodles last November following a ban imposed on the sale of the product for several months.
The chicken variant will hit the retail site on 11 February, reported The Economic Times.
The latest launch on the retail site comes in a 'Chicken Lovers' Kit', which includes four packs and assorted gifts for Rs 120.
The product will be available at grocery outlets and supermarkets in the coming weeks, reported the publication.
Maggi Noodles was relaunched after it passed quality examination tests conducted at laboratories designated by the Bombay court.
Since its ban in July 2015, Nestle has been faced with heavy losses in the Indian market as Maggi Noodles has been one of the primary elements of its sales in the country.
The June quarter saw Nestle report Rs 640m ($9.4m) net loss, its first in 17 years. The September quarter saw a drop in sales by 32% and a fall of 60% in revenues, reported Business Standard.
Earlier, the company sold nine variants of Maggi. Now, it intends to introduce more variants of the instant noodles such as oat noodles and cup noodles.
