Black19 technologyTaiwan-based solar cell firm,Neo Solar Power(NSP),announced that it has worked with a customer to deliver 6-inch solar cells with maximum cell efficiency of 19.81%using the Black19 technology.NSP's self-designed mono-crystalline cells using the Black 19 technology will be exhibited at SNEC in Shanghai starting May 16.
Since its initial production in first-quarter 2012,the number of new customers using the Black19 technology has been increasing.NSP is working with customers to integrate cells with the Black19 technology into their high-end product lines.The 6-inch mono-crystalline Black19 cells are manufactured with NSP's existing mass production equipment.In addition,the Black19 technology features low potential-induced degradation and has been certified by several customers.
Quincy Lin,chairman of NSP,indicated,"Since NSP led the market in introducing Black19 at EU PVSEC in Hamburg last year,we've been working to raise its efficiency and yield rate.In addition to making high-efficiency cells with existing equipment,the firm has been devoted to the research and development of next-generation cells."
